Frequently asked questions

What is a glass counter display fridge?

A floor-standing refrigerated counter with a tall double-glazed glass display and chilled storage underneath, holding 0 °C to +5 °C. Staff serve customers from behind.

How is a glass counter fridge different from a serve-over counter?

It is taller (154 cm) with a full double-glazed display, so it shows more product at eye level. It holds 0 / +5 °C.

Is it the same as a countertop fridge?

No — this is a full-height floor-standing counter. If you need a unit to sit on top of an existing counter, see the countertop display fridge.

Which size do I need?

Choose 100, 120 or 150 cm wide; all are 79 cm deep and 154 cm tall. Measure the counter run and leave space for staff behind it.

Does it need special wiring?

It runs on a standard 230V supply and plugs into an ordinary 13A socket, so no special wiring is needed.

Where should I place it?

Our cabinets are designed for rooms up to 25 °C and 60% humidity. Hotter or more humid sites make any refrigerated display work harder, so avoid direct sunlight, heaters and doorways with strong draughts.

Choose a Counter Display Fridge to Improve your Bakery

counter fridgeA glass counter display is one of the best sales tools a bakery can have. Whether you sell fresh cream cakes or homemade pies, the right commercial display fridge keeps them fresh without spoiling the look of your display.

The right commercial fridge protects your products, your customers and your profits.

The wrong refrigeration or settings lead to spoiled stock and lost money. When choosing a display fridge for your cake shop, temperature and humidity matter most — and the display must catch the eye of customers and passers-by.

Patisserie Counter Display Fridge

Most cakes and pastries are best kept at about +4 °C to +6 °C; fresh-cream products at +5 °C or below. Match the size to your shop and how much stock you sell each day.

Fan-assisted cooling keeps a busy, well-stocked display evenly chilled throughout the day.

A counter display fridge improves any food shop:

  • A well-lit, attractive display
  • Clear double-glazed glass
  • The right storage temperature
  • Easy-clean, hygienic surfaces
  • Low noise level
