Commercial Catering Equipment and Supplies at Display-Fridge Wholesale Ltd
A free fridge delivery access checklist with a Will It Fit? checker. Measure every door, corridor and lift on the route, and see straight away whether your new commercial fridge will get through.
Enter the size of the fridge and measure each door, corridor and lift on the way in. You will see straight away if anything is too tight.
How to measure: measure the narrowest point, including the door frame. Remove a door from its hinges if you need extra width. The fridge passes through on its narrowest side (width or depth). The final position check uses the packed size; the unpacked unit is usually a little smaller. If anything shows red, send your measurements to your supplier before you order.
Checker by Display-Fridge Wholesale
A sheet and an online checker for measuring the route from the street to the fridge’s final position, so you know before you order whether the fridge will fit.
It prevents failed deliveries caused by doors, corridors, stairs or lifts that are too small, and makes sure the final position has room for ventilation.
Anyone ordering a commercial fridge, freezer or display cabinet, especially for shops in older buildings, basements or upper floors.
Measure the clear width and height at the narrowest point, including the door frame and any handles or closers that stick out.
Sometimes. Removing the door from its hinges usually gains a few centimetres. If it is still too narrow, talk to your supplier before ordering.
Both. The packed size matters for the route; the unpacked size, plus the ventilation gap, matters for the final position.
Before you order, and again a few days before delivery in case anything on the route has changed.
On the product page or specification sheet, or ask the supplier.
It avoids wasted delivery charges and days without equipment, and lets the delivery team plan the right number of people and tools.

| Using our delivery access checklist | Without it | |
|---|---|---|
| Doors and corridors | Measured and checked before you order | Found to be too narrow on delivery day |
| Stairs and lifts | Planned for in advance | A delivery team that cannot get the unit up |
| Final position | Room for the unit and its ventilation gap | A fridge that overheats in a tight corner |
| Delivery cost | One delivery, first time | Paying for a second delivery |
| Downtime | The new fridge working on the day it arrives | Days without the fridge you need |
| Format | PDF, Excel and online, free | Guesswork with a tape measure on the day |
Most failed fridge deliveries have the same cause: a door, a staircase or a lift that nobody measured. A commercial fridge is often wider and taller than a domestic one, and it arrives in packaging that adds a few centimetres more. A few minutes with a tape measure before you order saves a wasted delivery, a second delivery charge and days without the fridge you need.
A fridge is carried through a door on its narrowest side, which may be its width or its depth. Allow a couple of centimetres of spare room for hands and protective covers. If a door is too narrow, removing it from its hinges often gains a few centimetres.
Make sure there is parking or an unloading space near the entrance, the route is clear and the floor is protected, and someone is on site to show the way. If an old unit is being removed, empty it, defrost it and switch it off beforehand.

Enter the packed width, depth and height from the product page. Leave the spare room at 2 cm and the ventilation gap at 5 cm unless the manual says otherwise.

For each door, corridor and lift, enter the clear width and height. Each point shows Fits, Too narrow or Too low. Add more points for extra doors or stairs.

Enter the space available where the fridge will stand. The result includes the ventilation gap on both sides, behind and above.

If anything shows red, send your measurements to the supplier before you order. Download the Excel version to keep them.
